Hi all, Thus Have I Seen (T.H.I.S.) Buddhist Film Festival 2009 has come to a successful end. We are grateful to have so much encouragement and constructive suggestions on improving the film festival.

We will not be having the film festival next year as we will be organising a Buddhist conference. The film festival will be back in 2011. Please look out for our announcement. You can also register for our mailing list by by writing to info@thisfilmfest.com to request to be on our mailing list.

We have sold out all the tickets for Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame. Tickets are still available for Sankara and Arukihenro. There will be no additional screenings due to contractual obligations.

Due to strong support from the audience, we managed to sell out over 90% of the tickets for the film festival. The organising committee wishes to thank everyone for your well wishes and strong support.

There are requests for additional screening of the popular films so that others can have the opportunity to view these films that are rarely seen in Singapore. Unfortunately, due to our contract agreement with the production houses for the film rental and Shaw for venue booking, it is not possible to make further arrangements.

There are tickets available for Act Normal, Sankara, Arukihenro and Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame (note : very limited tickets available for Buddha Collapsed). Do get your tickets for these films soon before they are sold out as well.

Award winning local filmmaker - Royston Tan’s latest production, Little Note, will make its public screening debut before the screening of the Closing Film - Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame on 19 September 2009 at 4.30pm.

Written and directed by Royston Tan, Little Note tells the story of how a mother and her son support each other in life by writing notes of encouragement.

There will be no extra charges to the tickets for Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame so get your tickets now!

We are expecting a full house on 13 September 2009 for our opening film, Yi Lun Ming Yue, with all tickets being sold as of Sunday 6 September 2009.
